This is not your ordinary turkey sandwich. Avocado lends a nice creamy, buttery texture and apple gives sweetness and crunch. Instead of slicing them both, you can spread the avocado over the bagel and julienne the apple for a different texture. Apples and avocados contain a wide variety of healthy nutrients. They make great additions to salads and side dishes as well.

Ingredients

Reduced fat whipped cream cheese

2 Tbsp

Plain bagel

2 oz, lightly toasted

Turkey breast lunch meat

2 oz, thinly sliced

Granny Smith apple

small, unpeeled (2 thin slices)

Avocado

item(s), ripe (3 thin slices)

Instructions

  1. Spread cream cheese evenly over both sides of toasted bagel. Layer turkey, apple, and avocado on bottom half of bagel (add sprouts - optional); top with remaining bagel half.
  2. Makes 1 serving.
