Create your own Hawaiian Poké bowl at home a rainbow of fresh veggies with a simple sesame dressing.

Ingredients

Soy sauce

2 tbs

Rice wine vinegar

1 tbs

Fresh ginger

2 tsp, finely grated

Sesame oil

1 tsp

Tuna, sashimi style, raw

500 g, sashimi grade fillet, cut into 1cm cubes (see tip)

Edamame beans

400 g, frozen variety

Baby spinach

100 g

Lebanese cucumber

2 medium, cut into 1cm cubes

Carrot(s)

2 large, peeled into ribbons

Sesame seeds

1 tsp, toasted

Instructions

  1. Combine soy, vinegar, ginger and sesame oil in a shallow dish. Add tuna and turn gently to coat. Set aside for 5 minutes to marinate.
  2. Meanwhile, cook edamame in a medium saucepan of boiling water for 2 minutes or until bright green. Drain. Refresh under cold water and drain. Peel and discard pods.
  3. Divide spinach, cucumber, carrot, edamame and tuna between bowls.Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Notes

Sashimi-grade tuna is very fresh, high quality tuna that has been carefully prepared. Find it at your local fishmonger and use within 1 day.
