Ingredients

Reduced-fat shortcrust pastry

1 sheet(s), (180g) just thawed

Canned apple slices (100% apple)

230 g, pie variety

Caster sugar

½ tsp

Ground cinnamon

½ tsp

Oil spray

1 x 3 second spray(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly spray 4 holes of a ⅓-cup (85ml) capacity muffin tin with oil.
  2. Cut pastry into 4 squares. Press each square into prepared muffin holes, allowing excess pastry to hang over sides.
  3. Spoon apple into pastry cases. Fold excess pastry over filling to enclose. Sprinkle tops with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden.

Notes

Pie apple slices are available in the tinned fruit section of the supermarket. VARIATION: Swap apple for 1 cup canned pear in natural juice (drained, chopped).
