Inject a little spice into your next beef dish with this deliciously satisfying spin on a family meal.

Ingredients

Beef, blade steak, raw

450 g, (Buy 500g) fat trimmed, cut into 1.5cm cubes

Ground paprika

2 tsp, sweet variety

Canned tomato soup

400 ml, (1x400ml can) condensed variety

Sebago potato

300 g, brushed, peeled, cut into 1.5cm cubes

Mushrooms

100 g, button variety, sliced

Baby spinach

50 g

Oil spray

1 x 3 second spray(s)

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray a large saucepan with oil and heat over medium-high heat. Cook beef in batches until browned. Return beef to pan, then stir in paprika. Add tomato soup and ¾ cup (185ml) water, stirring well, and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
  2. Add potato and mushrooms to pan and cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. Add spinach and cook, stirring, until wilted. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve.

Notes

SERVING SUGGESTION: Enjoy with sour cream.
