If you’re not a skilled baker, these lovely holiday treats are for you. They start with purchased pizzelle cookies, which you then decorate with melted candy melts (melting wafers) and crushed peppermints and festive sprinkles. We prefer melting wafers here over chocolate chips because they set hard and make for easier, cleaner stacking and packaging—making these a great gift for a teacher, coach, or friend. Simply arrange a few in a cellophane bag and tie with colorful ribbon.

Ingredients

White candy melts

2 oz

Chocolate pizzelle (3-4")

15 item(s)

Peppermint hard candy

1 oz, crushed

Dark chocolate candy melts

2 oz

Vanilla pizzelle (3-4")

15 item(s)

Sprinkles

1 Tbsp

Instructions

1

Place the white candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 80% power until mostly melted, about 1 ½ minutes, stopping to stir every 20 seconds. If they’re not completely melted, keep stirring until they are. Spread a little melted candy coating over each chocolate pizzelle, in a crescent moon shape on one edge of the cookie. Sprinkle with the crushed peppermints. Arrange in a single layer on a large piece of parchment paper until set.
