Evidence that fancy doesn’t have to mean fussy, this 4-ingredient dessert is not only beautiful but a cinch to make. Here, a crispy chocolate Pizzelle, an Italian waffle cookie, acts as a “crust” for this single serving fruit tart. Although, this recipe would be ideal for dressing-up a leftover home-baked pizzelle, we used a store-bought variety to keep it simple. In a pinch, you could use a chocolate wafer cookie of similar size instead. Fresh strawberry slices, raspberries or cherries can be swapped out for the citrus slices. The easiest way to shave chocolate is to use a vegetable peeler to scrape along the side of a chocolate bar to create thin strips or curls.
