Inspired by southern Italy, the below recipes are hearty, flavorful, and surprisingly easy to prepare. Food is what keeps families and friends together and it is central to Italian culture. At noon, many people go home to eat with their loved ones. This main meal typically starts with antipasto, a primo (soup, risotto, or pasta), and a secondo (a meat or fish dish). Dessert is usually fruit, followed by a nap or a trip to a bar for a drink and a game of cards.
Use the following dishes to enjoy the company of others like Italians do. May we suggest this menu for a Sunday dinner?
