5 Workshop Myths to Stop Believing
There are a lot of misconceptions floating around about WeightWatchers® Workshops (formerly known as meetings), usually from people who've never been to one. Let's put on our debunking hats and set the record straight!
Myth #1: You have to weigh yourself in front of everybody
Weigh-ins are private and confidential. The scale is only visible to you and the member of your meeting room team who weighs you in. (But as the number starts going down, you might have to stop yourself from shouting it out!)
Myth #2: You'll be forced to talk
You can talk, or not. It’s totally up to you. Either way, you’re bound to hear helpful strategies to get you through the week.
Myth #3: You'll feel left out
At workshops, you’ll find first-timers sitting next to WW pros. No matter where they are in their weight-loss journey, every person in the room has been in your shoes and can relate to what you're going through.
Myth #4: You have to buy frozen meals
Nope! You eat the way you want to. You can find WW branded food in the supermarket and in the meeting rooms for purchase, but they're absolutely not necessary. Everything is on the menu.
Myth #5: Workshops are long and inconvenient
Workshops last around 30 minutes, are available in thousands of locations, in the morning, afternoon and evening, seven days a week, and cover a topic that's relevant to weight loss. It's the one time in the week that's solely focused on you and your health. After all, you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself!
