Love a Kentucky mule? Our take on the bourbon classic uses orange instead of lime

Ingredients

Calorie controlled cooking spray

Orange

medium, sliced (1 slice, halved)

Sugar free ginger beer

250 ml

Whisky/Bourbon

70 ml, Bourbon

Freshly squeezed orange juice

100 ml

Instructions

  1. Mist a griddle pan with cooking spray and set over a medium-high heat. Cut 1 orange slice in half then griddle the halves for 2 minutes on each side. Set aside to cool completely.
  2. In a small jug, combine 200ml no added sugar ginger beer, 70ml bourbon and 100ml freshly squeezed orange juice.
  3. Pour into 2 highball glasses filled with crushed ice and serve garnished with a griddled orange slice.
