Puréed, frozen bananas form the base of this delicious ice cream-inspired recipe. It's best to use bananas that are ripe but not bruised or browned.

Ingredients

Banana

5 medium

Vanilla Extract

1 teaspoon(s), level

Milk chocolate chips

50 g

Flaked almonds

10 g

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas, chop into pieces and place in a freezer bag. Seal and freeze for 2-3 hours until frozen solid.
  2. Add bananas to a food processor and blitz, scraping down the sides with a spatula. Add the vanilla and pulse to combine. Serve immediately, or for firmer texture, transfer mixture to a container and freeze until ready to serve; allow to soften about 10 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and top each serving with flaked almonds.

Notes
