Rolled oats, dry

Skim milk

Banana(s)

1 medium, chopped

Cacao nibs

2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Combine oats, milk and ⅔ cup (160ml) water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil. Cook, stirring, for 2–3 minutes or until oats are soft and creamy.
  2. Stir half the banana into the porridge before serving. Top with remaining banana and sprinkle with cacao nibs to serve.

Notes

TIP: Cacao nibs are roasted cocoa beans that have been hulled and chopped into smaller pieces. They have a subtle chocolate flavour and slightly bitter taste but are less processed than chocolate. Find them in the health-food section of most supermarkets or from health-food stores.
