These citrusy mini dessert treats are superquick to prepare. If you don’t have a zester for the garnish, use a Microplane grater or the small holes on a box grater.

Ingredients

Mini phyllo shells

15 item(s)

Neufchâtel cheese

4 oz, light

Plain lowfat Greek yogurt

3 tbsp(s)

Turbinado sugar

3 tbsp(s)

Fresh lime juice

1½ tbsp(s)

Vanilla extract

¾ tsp(s)

Lime

2 wedge(s), zest of 2 limes, removed in strips with citrus zester or grated

Sliced almonds

2 tbsp(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place phyllo shells on small baking sheet and bake until crisp, about 5 minutes. Transfer shells to wire rack and let cool.
  2. Meanwhile, combine cream cheese and yogurt in medium bowl. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in sugar, lime juice, vanilla, and half of lime zest. Spoon or pipe mixture into phyllo cups. Garnish each tart with lime zest and a few sliced almonds. Serve immediately.
  3. Serving size: 1 tart

Notes

Prep ahead You can make the filling up to 2 days ahead, but fill the tarts just before serving so they stay crisp.
