Forget whole pumpkin pie and make these adorable hand pies for all your fall gatherings. Make sure to buy canned pumpkin puree - not canned pumpkin pie filling - for this recipe. The latter contains a lot of sugar; the former is just pure cooked pumpkin. Though we made these two-ingredient dough hand pies with apples, you can swap in diced pear or banana if you prefer. The point of the fruit is to add natural sweetness to the filling.
