Grab some carrots sticks and step right up. This thick dip is flavoured with garlic, cumin, lemon juice and a splash of olive oil.

Ingredients

Frozen green peas

1 cup(s)

Canned undrained chickpeas

1 cup(s), drained and rinsed

Plain fat free yogurt

½ cup(s)

Uncooked scallions

1 medium, chopped

Fresh dill

½ cup(s), fresh

Fresh lemon juice

2 tsp(s)

Olive oil

2 tsp(s), extra-virgin

Garlic

1 clove(s), large, or more to taste

Cumin seeds

½ tsp(s), or more to taste

Table salt

¼ tsp(s), or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add green peas; return to boil and simmer until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water and drain again.
  2. Place peas and remaining ingredients into a food processor or blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days. Yields about 1/4 cup per serving.
