This twist on baklava turns what could be a big project into a simple—and delicious—sweet. There is no tricky layering of phyllo, just store-bought mini phyllo shells filled with nuts, chocolate, orange zest, and cinnamon.

Ingredients

Mini phyllo shells

Shelled pistachio nuts

¼ cup(s), chopped

Walnuts

¼ cup(s), chopped

Honey

¼ cup(s)

Mini chocolate chips

2 tbsp(s)

Unsalted butter

1 tbsp(s), melted

Orange zest

½ tsp(s)

Ground cinnamon

¼ tsp(s)

Table salt

1 pinch(es)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange phyllo cups on baking sheet.
  2. In medium bowl, stir nuts, honey, chocolate chips, butter, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Divide filling among phyllo cups (about 2 tsp per cup). Bake until nuts are fragrant and lightly toasted, about 10 minutes. Serve warm.
  4. Yields 1 tartlet per serving.
