This prawn dish is packed with flavour and incredibly easy to make. Despite the short list of ingredients, it's sure to impress. Before coating the prawns with the spices, it's crucial to pat them dry to ensure they brown properly in the fry pan. This is the trick to achieving a deliciously crispy texture.

Ingredients

Chilli powder

1 tsp

Ground cumin

½ tsp

Raw peeled prawns

450 g, tail intact (about 25 prawns)

Olive oil

3 tsp

Lime juice

2 tbs

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine chilli powder, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Pat dry the prawns. Add prawns to bowl and toss until evenly coated.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add prawns in an even layer and cook until browned on both sides and opaque throughout, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the heat. Add lime juice and stir until prawns are coated and liquid evaporates.
