What she does at WW
Angela works with other members of the Science team, and teams across the organisation, to ensure that everything communicated in WW’s global channels is rooted in science. To help accomplish this, she develops evidence-based points of view on a variety of nutrition topics and themes for use across channels. She also collaborates closely with other WW teams to create new content based on the latest in credible nutrition research.
Her background
Angela specialises in communicating nutrition science. Prior to joining WW, she worked as a registered dietitian at a NYC-based public relations agency focused on food, nutrition, and wellness communications. In that role, she translated the latest science for consumers and healthcare professionals. She holds an undergraduate degree in nutrition science from Cornell University and a master’s degree in nutrition science from Tufts University, where she also completed her dietetic internship.
What brought her to WW
As a registered dietitian with a background in public relations, this role seemed like the perfect fusion of her expertise. Angela was excited at the opportunity to use her communication skills to help WW’s four million members achieve their health and wellness goals.
Most exciting part of the job
According to Angela, the most exciting part of her job is co-creating with colleagues across the business. She enjoys fusing her nutrition expertise with others’ skills to collaborate on a wide range of projects.
Get to know Angela:
- In her free time: You can find her trying a new restaurant or HIIT class, but not necessarily in that order! She’s passionate about all things food, beverage, and fitness.
- You might be surprised to learn: She absolutely loves pizza. And in her humble opinion, her own homemade pizza rivals some of NYC’s best.
- Snack she always has on hand: Kind Bars. “I love the Kind Minis and the nut-butter filled bars,” she says. “They’re great for taking on the go or when paired with a piece of fruit!”
