Waffles have never been so easy! These oat-based ones are baked, then topped with banana and toffee sauce.

Ingredients

Calorie controlled cooking spray

4 spray(s)

Porridge oats

85 g

Baking powder

1 teaspoon(s), level

Cocoa Powder

1 tablespoon(s), level, plus a pinch more to serve

Skimmed Milk

125 ml

Banana

4 medium, 2 very ripe and mashed and 2 ripe bananas, sliced

Egg, whole, raw

1 large, raw

0% fat natural Greek yogurt

250 g

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Salted Caramel Sauce

4 tablespoon(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas mark 4. Mist a 4-hole silicone waffle mould with cooking spray and put on a baking sheet.
  2. Combine the oats, baking powder, cocoa powder, milk, mashed bananas and egg in a bowl. Divide the mixture between the prepared moulds, then bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and a little crisp around the edges.
  3. Carefully turn out the waffles onto plates. Top with the sliced bananas and yogurt, then drizzle 1 tablespoon toffee sauce over each waffle.

Notes

No waffle mould? You could also bake these in a 12-hole muffin tin, misted with cooking spray for 15-20 minutes.
