Let’s dive a little deeper…
This journey can be tricky under normal circumstances. Throw end-of-year activities and festivities into the mix and, uh, um... where were we? Oh yeah, it can feel extra hard to stay focused, present and on track.
What helps: Thinking about your values—big-picture stuff like what matters to you most. Doing so lays the groundwork to then set and clarify an intention for how you want to finish the year and the actions you’ll take. In other words, think of a value as the ultimate destination. An intention provides a compass that points you toward that value. Naming specific actions gives you a map while STAR goals are turn-by-turn directions.
So before you begin navigating the parties, food, unpredictable schedules, routine upheavals, or whatever else may come your way, take time to connect with what’s most important to you. Let it inspire your internal GPS to guide you closer to your goals through these last few weeks and into the new year.
