Ingredients

Fresh basil

2 sprig(s), (9 leaves)

Cherry tomatoes

4½ individual, halved

Bocconcini

9 baby, (9 x 15g)

Fresh dates

3 individual, pitted, sliced

Wafer thin crackers

10 cracker(s), (10 x 1.5g crackers)

Green grapes

2 cup(s), (340g)

Marshmallow

10 piece(s), (10 x 5g)

Pineapple

200 g, cut into triangles

Fresh strawberries

6 individual, (5 x whole strawberries, plus 1 sliced)

Red globe grapes

1 cup(s), (170g)

Instructions

  1. Thread 1 basil leaf, 1 tomato half and one bocconcini onto a toothpick. Repeat with remaining basil, tomatoes and bocconcini to make 9 skewers.
  2. Place dates in a pile on the bottom centre of a large, rectangular platter to form the tree stump. Working your way from left to right, arrange crackers in a row above dates, allowing them to overlap slightly. Arrange bocconcini skewers in a row above crackers. Repeat with green grapes, marshmallows, pineapple, strawberries and red grapes to create 5 more rows, each one slightly shorter in length to form a Christmas tree shape.
  3. Place sliced strawberry at the top of the tree, fanning the slices to resemble a star. Serve.
