It's fun to make something special for Easter, plus get the kids involved.

Ingredients

Cocoa powder

3 tsp

Golden syrup

1 tbs

No added sugar dark chocolate

150 g, broken into pieces

Reduced fat oil spread

2 tbs, (40g)

Wheatmeal biscuit

4 individual, crushed

Mini candied chocolate eggs

36 individual, (126g)

Instructions

  1. Line a 12-hole patty tin with paper cases.
  2. Place cocoa powder, syrup, chocolate and spread into a medium saucepan. Heat gently, over low heat, stirring, until melted and smooth.
  3. Add crushed biscuits and stir until combined. Divide the mixture among patty cases, making a depression in the middle with the back of a teaspoon to form a nest shape. Chill until set.
  4. Top each chocolate nest with 3 eggs.

Notes

These nests can be made 2-3 days in advance and stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
