Step 1
Sit in a chair holding a dumbbell on top of each knee. (Not sure what weight to use? Read our guide to choosing the right weight for you.)

Step 2
Push down with your toes and lift your heels to flex the calf muscles, exhaling as you go.

Step 3
Inhale as you return your feet to the starting position.
