This sweet pork dish with chinese vegetables will fill you up and keep you satisfied for longer.

Ingredients

Pork fillet or tenderloin, raw

455 g, (500g, fat trimmed), thinly sliced

Ground allspice

1 tsp

Peanut oil

1 tbs

Plum sauce

cup(s), (80ml)

Fresh ginger

2 tsp, finely grated

Soy sauce

1 tbs

Sake or Japanese rice wine

20 ml, (1tbs)

Garlic

2 clove(s), crushed

Cornflour

2 tsp

Broccolini

1 bunch(es), trimmed, chopped

Snow peas

100 g, trimmed

Pak choy

1 baby, trimmed, leaves separated

Cooked white rice

2 cup(s), (340g) to serve

Fresh coriander

¼ cup(s)

Instructions

  1. Place pork, five spice and half the oil in a medium bowl. Turn to coat. Place plum sauce, ginger, soy sauce, wine, garlic and cornflour in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
  2. Boil, steam or microwave broccolini until tender. Drain.
  3. Heat a wok over high heat for 1 minute. Add remaining oil and heat for 30 seconds. Stir-fry pork, in batches, for 2–3 minutes or until browned. Add broccolini, snow peas, pak choy and plum sauce mixture. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes or until heated through. Serve stir-fry with rice and sprinkled with coriander.

Notes

Shaoxing wine is a sweet Chinese wine made from fermented rice. It is available in the Asian section of most supermarkets or Asian grocery stores.
