This wintery-take on sangria is just fantastic! Serve it with our Shrimp and Chicken Chorizo Paella for an unforgettable meal. DIY Fizz: Let guests top off their sangria with a splash of seltzer...the extra bubbles will lighten the drink.

Ingredients

Cabernet Sauvignon red wine

Cranberry juice cocktail

8 fl oz

Pomegranate juice

1 cup(s)

Orange-flavored liqueur

2 fl oz, (1/4 cup), such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau

Clementine

2 item(s), halved, thinly sliced into half-rounds

Lemon

1 item(s), large, thinly sliced

Cinnamon stick

1 item(s), (3-inch)

Star anise

1 Tbsp, (about 5)

Pomegranate seeds

½ cup(s)

Lemon lime seltzer

1 cup(s)

Instructions

  1. Combine wine, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, Grand Marnier, clementines, lemon, cinnamon sticks and star anise in a pitcher. Chill for several hours to overnight so flavors can meld. When ready to serve, stir in soda; serve over ice and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
  2. Serving size: 1/2 cup sangria (plus ice)
