I did not have red wine, so I used balsamic vinegar. it added a nice, tangy punch while still providing the fruity-ness of wine. Used 1 can of fire-roasted tomatoes, and one can of italian style tomatoes. Would make again!

Really very good and versatile dish you can do lots of different things with - using different peppers, more spices, or different types of pasta, for example - but it really is just great the way it is.
