This chili really didn't have much flavor. There was way too much turkey with only two small cans of beans. I would have preferred a lot more beans and herbs.
In order to spice this recipe up a bit, I added cumin, coriander, cayenne, jalapeño and habanero peppers, etc. I seasoned the turkey meat with the above seasonings while browning. I added corn, fresh and dry basil too. Very flavorful!
Overall, it's a satisfying meal but a bit bland if you follow the recipe exactly. Definitely needed more flavor - I added a lot more cumin and oregano, plus a bit more chili powder. I also added chopped celery for texture and flavor. I would have been happier with it if the recipe called it "soup" rather than "chili" because there was far too much liquid for me to consider it chili. I'd make it again, but with more seasoning and less chicken stock.
