Definitely not your Mama's corn bread. It's kind of sticky and tastes a lot like the creamed corn that goes into it. Very bland. It did the job, but not sure if Ill make it again.
This was OK, but I think it wasn't as good as it could have been becaused I used a locally ground corn meal. I liked the honey flavor in the bread, though. That was a nice touch.
I made this with about 1/2 the amount of flour that was called for but it still turned out fine! I also added in a few spoonfuls of Splenda, but that's based on my own preference of corn bread. Would make again- went well with the whole wheat chili mac recipe on here.
I doubled the recipe and it took quite a while longer to cook. It was moist and my family enjoyed it.
