Ingredients

1 spray(s) olive oil cooking spray   
  2 cup(s) canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained   
1/4 tsp garlic powder   
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes   

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.

  • Spread chickpeas on baking sheet and sprinkle with garlic powder and red pepper; toss to coat.

  • Roast on bottom rack of oven, shaking pan about every 15 minutes, until browned and slightly crunchy, about 45 to 50 minutes. (The chickpeas will still be somewhat soft. Cook longer for desired texture.) Cool before serving. Yields about 1/2 cup per serving.

OMG finally a crunchy snack with low points. If your the type of person who loves to pick out the popcorn old maids (half popped popcorn kernels) your going to love this. Like other readers I roasted them at 400 for 40 mins shaking every 10mins and they were perfect! I seasoned with garlic and onion powders, but the options are endless. This will be a snack staple in our house.

Good, but seriously needs salt. I added a tsp of chili powder and a smidge of cayenne as well

Delicious for snacking and salads!! I made these years ago and revisited the recipe after rejoining WW recently. A tried and true snack!
