Quinoa IS a cereal grain & I prefer it to rice (also a cereal grain), because rice has a natural arsenic content. Decided to make this recipe just before attending last week's WW meeting. The WW Weekly, which we receive at every meeting, had a recipe for Quinoa with Leeks & Mushrooms. It's made very similar to this recipe & after reading it's ingredients, I added mushrooms & a red sweet pepper while sauteing the onion & garlic. Followed the remaining recipe exactly as written. Loved it!
